The principle objective of this independent study is to analyze the music school and music shop industry and develop the investment plan in perusing a long-term growth strategy of Siam Kolkarn Music School. With the advantages to country, social and individual development, music education through private music schools has been widely accepted. Meanwhile, the benefits of economic integration such as AEC, which it is resulted by the world’s globalization process, significantly determine the decision on business expansion for Thailand’s music education business at a regional level.
To perform an effective business plan and expansion strategy, the comprehensive analysis of overall supportive host country’s factors and industry attractiveness are taken into account with company’s core competitive advantages. The key contents of this study mostly refer to the secondary data from reliable source of information.
In addition, high ability to develop innovation on standardization products/services and specialization in school management attribute the decision on equity mode and capture the opportunities of upper segment consumer. As there are some constraints in music school and music shop industry in Lao PDR, the industry analysis as well as strategies in corporate level, business level and functional level of Siam Kolkarn Music School are translated by the primary data interview session collected from company’s executives and music experts.
As a result, the author develop the strategic planning, consisting of operational, marketing, human resources and financial assessment that would contribute the concrete direct for the company to be success in Lao PDR market. Also, there is a recommendation for establishing strong foothold in Lao PDR market and sustaining long-term strategy.
