A total of 480 one-day old male broiler chicks [20] of uniform weight were randomly divided into 6 groups of 80 chicks each and 4 replicates of 20 chicks. The birds were reared in an open-sided, naturally ventilated broiler house, in floor pens (1.25 × 2 m) on rice husk,using a daily photoperiod of 24 h of light.
