Changes in Anxiety and Depression Rates
After 4 y of health management, the rate of anxiety in
the management group decreased by 3.1%, but increased by 1.8% in the control group. The difference in the end point scores between the management and control groups was statistically significant (difference of 4.9%, 95% CI 2.1– 8.2, P _ .001). The rate of depression in the management group decreased by 3.8% at the 4-y follow-up; in contrast, this rate increased by 3.1% in the control group. This difference was statistically significant (difference of 6.9%, 95% CI 3.2–10.9, P _ .001) (Table 7).
