• The star topology connects each node to a central
devices, such as a hub. A transmission passes
from the originating node, through the hub,
directly to the destination node. Because each
node is connected separately to the hub, the
failure of a single node or its connecting cable
does not make the entire network inoperable.
• The centralized connection point allows star
topology LANs to be modified, moved, or
connected to other networks easily.
