In the Northeast, 53 percent supported the proposal for a national government, 35 percent opposed the idea and 10 percent said they were not certain.
In the North, 53 percent agreed with the idea, 40 percent disagreed, while 5 percent said there were unsure.
In the suburbs, fewer people – about 50 percent – backed the idea, while 46 percent disapproved and 3 percent said they were not certain.
