School District C, located in south central Wisconsin, had approximately 6000 students and 850 staff members. There were eight primary Energy Task Force members involved in developing the SEP&EP, including the District Business Official, District Energy
Manager, an energy education consultant, three elementary teachers, and two high school teachers. The district approved energy policies in 1986, but was interested in updating them. There was support from the administration to develop the SEP&EP. The Energy Task Force met occasionally from May to November 2010. There were 10
school buildings in District C, located throughout the community.
