Plant essential oils are the ethereal extract obtained by physical or chemical techniques from different plant parts (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. 1995). Recent research has provoked interest in essential oils as natural antimicrobial agents. In fact, essential oils are made up of many different volatile compounds whose
