A sorption kinetics experiment was first conducted to understand
the characteristics of the process. In the experiment, the zeolite
beta with an amount of 1 g/L, was added to a solution that had
the tetracycline concentration of 0.05 mM, NaCl (as ionic strength
background) of 0.01 M, pH 5.0, and temperature of 293 K. The samples
were collected at the different time intervals for the analysis of
tetracycline concentration by UV/Visible spectroscopy (U-3010,
HITACHI Co., Japan).
