Next, the image was processed using MATLABto define the horizontal line of each hole by scanning the contours ofthe holes. Finally, the hole centers were determined from the verti-cal centers of the horizontal lines and were compared with the idealdrilling coordinates. Horizontal centers and vertical centers werecalculated sequentially therefore hole centers could be effectively calculated. The ideal drilling coordinates were calculated from usedNC codes and geometry of desired features.
