Data collection and processing
The response variables used were the SGR in percent,
and the survival rate of C. carpio. SGR in percent allowed
us to compare the individual growth of ¢sh
with di¡erent starting weights. SGR was calculated
according to Brett & Groves (1979):
SGR ¼ ðlnW2 lnW1Þ100=ðt2 t1Þ
where t1 and t2 (days) are the start and end of the
period under consideration andW1andW2 (g ¢sh1)
are the mean start and end weight for that period.
The eight experiments (Table 1) were good for a
data setwith102 entries, whichwas used to calculate
the C. carpio production data (Table 2) and the C. carpio
survival rate multiple regression.
