disrupted cell membrane; general disintegration of the cytoplasm
with swelling, abnormal organelles, and “empty space,”
and no particular phagocytosis; and
Type 3B — cytoplasmic type of cell death with late nuclear change;
rounding up and swelling of cell; dilatation of ER, nuclear envelope,
mitochondria, and Golgi; and heterophagocytosis by neighboring
cells.
