To lay out the categories on the wall, draw each box exact size, and then use white illustrator boxes with the name of each product in it in 10 point or 8 point or 6 point Arial, whichever fits best. And don’t use item numbers. Call them PC 100 Set (PC for PowerClix), or BB 60 PC Set, etc. Abbreviate and use names. You can use a different color outline around each white box to distinguish between toy lines. Red for PowerClix, blue for Better Builders, green for manipulatives, etc. But try and keep the wall very clean and make sure everything is exactly drawn, including the slat wall channels so that whomever follows your setup can follow it exactly. Also, Suvimon has signage for the Guidecraft logo that was created on acrylic with standoffs. One should go on each side as there are two spaces to fill with products. Since the slatwall in Vietnam is so large, you can design in places where we’ll have acrylic shelves and product will be out of the boxes for customers to pick up and touch. Also, if you can find a clear acrylic bin, it would be nice to design in a place for bins so that we can also put some loose pieces in the bins for IO Blocks, IO Minis, PowerClix so that customers can pick up the loose pieces and not any builds that may be on acrylic shelves. The staff in Vietnam bought big white hooks to put the boxes on and they look terrible, so recommend a hook for them to use. In NY we use short, nickel-plated or white metal hooks.
