In our design,
the RF energy in the environment is captured by a broadband
circular dipole antenna which functions as a band pass filter
and mainly the signals around the resonant frequency of
antenna are received. Furthermore, the rectifying device is
Shottky barrier diode which rectifies half-wave of the received
signal. It is important that the Shottky diode can switch quickly
enabling high frequency inputs. Moreover, this diode has low
built in voltage to operate at low microwave input power but it
has limited frequency and voltage operative range because of
the series resistance and the junction capacitor.
