The temperature of the disinfectant solution throughout the disinfection stage shall be monitored to ensure that it remains within the limits specified by the manufacturer of the disinfectant and be compatible with the temperature limits for the device(s) to be processed.
This shall be achieved either a) by controlling the temperature of the disinfectant solution or b) where appropriate, by operating the WD at ambient temperature with means to prevent operation of the WD when the disinfectant temperature is outside the specified temperature range.
