As one of the creation elements running through all scenes, colors have a specific meaning in traditional Chinese animations. The application of colors should take both cultural factors and the feelings of audiences into consideration. In the animation Uproar in Heaven, the five characters are in different colors, which perfectly represent the nationalized traditional color spectrum. From the matching of dress colors of Hui’an women, yellow bamboo hat, flower headscarf, blue blouse, black drum pants and silver belt, we extract the regional color symbols with red, yellow and blue as the threeprimary colors, and black, gray, gold and silver as neutral harmonic colors, along with the color order, light upon and heavy under, in daily dressing of Hui’an women.
