The mean content of tocols for all barley genotypes was 72.9 lg/g DW, which is in good agreement with those previously found by Peterson and Qureshi (1993) (58 lg/g DW), Cavallero, Gianinetti, Finocchiaro, Delogu, and Stanca (2004) (54.5 lg/g DW) and Panfili et al. (2008) (69.1 lg/g DW). The average vitamin E content (24.2 lg/g DW) was also in good agreement with Panfiliet al. (2008) (21.9 lg/g DW).
