You are management consultants and you have been asked to advise a small company based in Bangkok on how to improve its future operations. The company provides an online computer game experience. Players take the roles of warriors, monks and magical creatures and travel about the countryside having many exciting and colourful adventures. The game was very successful and, over the past two years, you have added another twenty new computer programmers to the company payroll. Programmers add new code to the game world and also act as supervisors in the game world to make sure no one is cheating or bullying the new players or acting in an improper way. New customers join the game every day and subscription payment schemes are very popular. However, profitability has been declining recently and you get the feeling that employee morale is low because of the high turnover of programmers. Even though the programmers get to play games the whole time and work in a very relaxed atmosphere, they still wish to leave.
