The Sampaguita flower is a white flower and the national flower of the both the Philippines and Indonesia. It is native to Southeast Asia. It is of the species Jasminum sambac. It is sweetly scented and tropical. The flowers bloom throughout the year. They open up in the night and wilt in under a day. They grow on a woody vine and their leaves are oval and around 9 cm in length. The flowers can bloom alone or as clusters at the end of a stalk.
