Nearly
2000 cars were washed, during the 20 weeks of operation, with the
mean water volume per car being about 120 L. This consumption
is lower than the reported by Ghisi et al. (2009) which have considered
a water demand of 150–250 L per wash when evaluating
the potential for potable water savings by using rainwater for car
washing in petrol stations in Brasilia, Brazil.
