If the GHG price increases, ethanol may not be produced in some cases. Conventional bioelectricity, such as direct firing, is not a feasible choice when pyrolysis is one available technology. Direct firing is totally driven out by pyrolysis due to the low energy output and low carbon sequestration. When all pyrolysis outputs are used to generate electricity, approximately 4.68 billion kWh can be produced through fast pyrolysis annually.
