Investigation of the chemical constituents in dicholomethane extract from green branch of Garcinia dulcis resulted in the isolation of three xanthones: garciniaxanthone E (1), 2,5-dihydroxy-1-methoxyxanthone (2) and 2,6-dihydroxy-1,5-dimethoxyxanthone (3). Their structures were elucidated by analysis of spectroscopic data and comparison of the NMR data with those reported previously. Their antibacterial activities were also examined.
