Midtown is a generational plan for the heart of Wellington, located along Wellington's "Main Street", Forest Hill Boulevard. The "Midtown" plan is a concept for a sense of place that has been developing for twenty years. It has been shaped by collaborative planning, public, and private investment. Public improvements to the Municipal Complex and Forest Hill Boulevard, together with private investment in the shopping centers at the Wellington Trace and South Shore intersections with Forest Hill Boulevard, have the changed character of our "Main Street". Public investments in Town Center include the Village Municipal Complex (Village Hall, Scott's Place, the Amphitheater, the Aquatics Complex, and the newly constructed Community Center) and Forest Hill Boulevard reconstruction. Private investment includes refurbishing the Town Center and Wellington Plaza together with new construction in the Wellington Plaza. Private investment followed public investment.
