This study was a single-blinded, quasi-experimental study involving 34 PD patients with classic resting tremor as confirmed by tremor analysis. The assessment of tremor was performed before and during EMS by a tremor monitoring device. Stimulation of the affected hand muscle was performed with the EMS stimulator. A constant stimulation protocol was provided to all participants with a frequency of 50 Hz, pulse width of 150 microseconds, and pulse amplitude of below 20 mA. The EMS was given over the abductor pollicis brevis and interrosseus muscles for 10 seconds with identified tremor parameters before and during stimulation as primary outcomes. Tremor parameters included the peak magnitude, the root mean square (RMS) of the angular velocity, frequency and tremor dispersion score (Q) in both before and during stimulation of each patient.
