7.1. Limitations and implications
The present study offers a description of the role of preschool
teachers’ behavior management and children’s task orientation in predicting children’s receptive language and emergent literacy
development. An important limitation of this study is that receptive
vocabulary is the only measure of oral language included in
the study. Future work should investigate other aspects of oral language,
including expressive vocabulary, grammar, pragmatics, and
semantics.
