Standing Stalls, Boxes and Tethering Systems
Standing stalls, boxes and tethering systems shall be designed so that animals can lie down, rest and rise to their feet in the
normal way for their species. Tethering systems shall be constructed so as not to cause the animals injury. Ropes, chains,
halters, and similar tethering devices shall be tested at sufficiently regular intervals and adapted to the size of the animals
concerned.
Article 7 Housing Climate
1 Premises in which animals are kept shall be built, used and ventilated so as to maintain a suitable climate for the animals.
2 In closed premises with an artificial ventilation system, an auxiliary fresh air intake system shall be available for use in the
event of a breakdown.
