be due to complete development of flowers with respect to floral
characters at the half bloom stage of harvest. Significant effect
of different cultivars on flower texture was also noticed. Among
the different cultivars, 'Lambada' flowers showed better texture
of dry flower. This may be owing to its stalk strength and other
flower characters as compared to others. From the foregoing
discussion, it can be said that orange coloured cultivar 'Lambada'
is the most suitable cultivar of Dutch rose flower for drying.
