After we checked the defect in the photo from customer with QC team, we found that almost all of them were the wound defect on shrimp meat. The wound is the defect that can be found in the raw material. This is caused by intensive shrimp farming, where a large amount of shrimp is raised in one pond which sometimes make them crash into each other. If the wound is deep, it will stain the meat. Figure 1 shows examples of the wound defect that we found in the raw material in the past and selected it out.
