The titers of serum IgG (Fig. 1A) and intestinal IgA (Fig. 1B)specific to ntCDMF were determined by ELISA. Notably, the titers of serum IgG and intestinal IgA in immunized mice were 4660 and 156, respectively, as compared to 30 and 13, respectively, for nonimmunized controls. The titers of intestinal IgG of immunized mice were less than 6% of titers of intestinal IgA (data not shown).Statistical analysis identified the IgG and IgA titers in immunized mice as significantly higher than those in control mice (IgG,p < 0.01; IgA, p < 0.05).
