Toyota Motor East Japan was born in July 2012 through a merger of three companies: Kanto Auto Works, Central Motor and Toyota Motor Tohoku. Kanto Auto Works possessed integrated car manufacturing from development to production, as well as the ability to make improvements and on-site ability to realize such manufacturing. Central Motor had a production system and facility engineering capability capable of small- to mid-lot production in a compact space. Toyota Motor Tohoku possessed the most advanced technology to realize precise and high-quality unit production.
Our goal is to supply a competitive compact car from Tohoku. To achieve this goal, we have truly unified these three companies to form a lean and flexible production site which supports production from unit to vehicle. Other elements of achieving our goal are improvement and reform of car manufacturing which integrates all processes from development to production technology and production.
Through manufacturing which is rooted in Tohoku and is part of the community, we shall continue to supply the world's most appealing compact car which responds carefully to customer needs. We shall work our hardest to gain the trust of society and exist as a meaningful corporation.
Furthermore, by continuing to lead from Japan the development and production of Toyota compact cars, we shall contribute to global expansion of the Toyota group.
We sincerely look forward to your continued support in the future.
