I have the unpleasant task of informing all of you that I have accepted Kenny’s resignation effective January 4th, 2016. This was a mutual decision and Kenny is leaving The MOD Group on the best terms possible.
I clearly recall 2 years ago calling Kenny on his mobile phone in Bangkok and inviting him to dinner. He said and I quote “I would love to have dinner with you but do not even think of offering me a job. After 30+ years offshore I am now officially retired and going home to be with my family” Somehow, I convinced him to take the position and fortunately it turned into two years. But unfortunately the time has come for Kenny to finally retire and spend his time and energy with his lovely family.
In those 2 years aside from Kenny doing a truly amazing job with unwavering dedication, Kenny and I developed a strong friendship based on mutual respect. While Kenny and I will remain in touch and most likely he will come out to our shops several times a year as a consultant to keep things on the straight and narrow. I am truly sadden that he will not be there for our daily coffee and talks. He will always have a home at the MOD Group of companies.
Please join me in wishing Kenny the best for his future.
