The specific conductivity measurements of the aqueous solutions of the TX-100 and CTAB mixture with ethanol were madeby the conductometer, Mettler Toledo, joined with the thermostat LAUDA RE 415S with the temperature precision equal to ±0.01 K. The standard uncertainty of the conductivity measurements changed from ±0.002 to ±1.73 S/cm depending on the surfactant mixture concentration range.
All the density, viscosity and conductivity measurements were made for 3 samples of four sets.
The size of the TX-100 and CTAB mixed micelles and alcohol aggregates was determined by using Zetasizer Nano ZS (Malvern,UK). The particle hydrodynamic diameter which can be detected by this instrument is in the range between 0.6 nm and 6 m. The Zetasizer system performs size measurements by using the process of dynamic light scattering with the back scatter detection at 173◦.
