Our study was carried out to obtain information on
the potential of possible antagonists of E. turcicum and
was aimed to pursue the following objectives: (a) evaluate bacteria from phyllosphere of maize; (b) determine the
sensitivity of E. turcicum to osmotic stress; (c) evaluate the
ability of bacterial antagonistic isolates to compete with E.
turcicum using an index of dominance and antibiosis, under
different water availabilities, and (d) determine the effect
of bacteria on growth parameters of E. turcicum.
