SPANSION EMAIL CHANGES May 26, 2015 8:00AM PDT WW21
Change Notice:
The following changes apply only to Spansion Exchange users:
• Your primary email address will change from first.last@spansion.com to initials@cypress.com.
• You can now also receive email sent to first.last@cypress.com.
• Outlook signatures will be reset.
When is this happening?
May 26th, 8:00AM PDT.
Change Details:
What stays the same?
• All of your pre-existing spansion.com email addresses will still work!
o You will be able to receive email sent to:
o initials@cypress.com
o First.last@cypress.com
o First.last@spansion.com
o And all other pre-existing email addresses.
o None of your data is moving.
Your mailbox and all email remain in the Spansion Exchange environment.
• Your NTID remains unchanged.
• Your Lync SIP address and sign-in address remain unchanged.
• No reconfiguration of email clients is necessary.
o Your email clients, including mobile devices, should continue to function with their current configurations.
o New Outlook client connections will continue to auto-discover properly.
o New mobile clients utilizing ActiveSync can be setup by entering any of your email addresses.
o New GOOD MDM client connection procedures remain unchanged.
What changes?
• All outgoing email will appear FROM initials@cypress.com.
o This includes new mail, as well as replies to any message originally sent to any of your other email addresses.
• You can now also receive email sent to first.last@cypress.com.
• Outlook signatures will undergo a one-time reset.
o Please recreate your signature with updated company information.
o To create an e-mail signature in Outlook, select Tools. In the drop down menu, select Options. Click on the Mail Format tab and select Signatures.
o A local backup of your pre-existing signatures can be found at: %APPDATA%MicrosoftSignatures.old
• LYNC Integration
o All Lync functionality remains unchanged.
o You may experience a new prompt from your Lync client. This prompt is due to the temporary difference between your new primary email address and your Lync sign-in address.
You will no longer receive these prompts once Lync integration changes are also complete.
Please disregard the credential prompt, or click the ‘x’.
