(a) Municipalities determine the collection targets of small WEEE, referring to the 28 categories recommended by the Ministry of the Environment. Many municipalities include mobile phones in small WEEE. (b) Municipalities and producers require consumers to remove and separate exchangeable batteries from the original WEEE. (c) Many municipalities received waste mobile phones as non- combustible waste with other small WEEE before the Act. After the Act, many municipalities began to accept mobile phones as small WEEE to be recycled. (d) The Mobile Recycle Network (MRN) accepts batteries and chargers.
