Stripping for minor components from soybean oil
Soybean oil for emulsion stripped according to Lampi and others (1999), whith some modifications.
A glass column with a 24/40 fitting and fritted glass bottom was packed with activated alumina-hexane slurry.
The activated alumina was mixed with hexane just prior to column packing.
Five grams of sea sand was added on top, and the column was washed with 300 mL pure hexane.
Soy bean oil (150 g) was dissolved in 1150 mL hexane.
This mixture was poured onto the column, and the oil was eluted by gravity using 300 mL additional hexane.
