Purpose:
Customer Plan Schedule Maintenance is used to enter or update customer planning schedules.
A customer planning schedule includes medium to long term forecasts and how much of a certain item a customer expects to need and when. The schedule is usually transmitted automatically via electronic data interchange (EDI) format and imported using EDI Ecommerce. However, it can also be entered manually from customer requests.
Ship From: Use the magnifying glass to select your ship to site
Ship To: Use the magnifying glass to select the appropriate customer ship to.
Click on the Item Number field with the mouse and press the down arrow key to automatically populate the remainder of the header fields. Ensure each is completed correctly – Order Number, Line Number, Item Number, PO Number, and Customer Reference Number.
All these fields default from the customer schedule that was previously created for this customer/item/PO combination.Press enter or click on next to continue.
Release ID: Use the magnifying glass to select an existing release ID to view. If entering a new schedule, or amending an existing schedule, use a combination of DDMMYYYY-001/2/3/4 etc….. to ensure a separate record is available for each schedule release. This ensures that you can run schedule comparisons at a later date.

Comments: Leave blank unless you wish to enter line comments against this schedule release. If comments were automatically downloaded via EDI, then the comments field will automatically default to Yes so that you can view the comments.
Ship/Delv Pattern: Accept default from customer schedule set up.
Ship Del/Time: Accept default from customer schedule set up.
Int Purpose Code: Leave blank, this field is not required
Ext Purpose Code: Leave blank, this field is not required
Prior Cum Req: Leave blank, this field is only used with required ship schedules.
Prior Cum Date: When entering a new schedule, set yesterday’s date as the prior cum date.
Cumulative: Accept default from customer schedule set up.
Schedule Date Type: Specifies whether the dates shown on the schedule are delivery or shipment dates.
Active Start: Accept default of today’s date for new schedule.
Active End: Will be automatically populated to close down an old schedule when a new schedule is populated.
