Logistics Management and Destination Loyalty
Tourist Interviews.
As part of the study, 548 international tourists visiting HCMc were surveyed. To be eligible to participate, tourists were required to have visited the last year; be at least 18 years old; and be working, or living in HCMC The survey's logistics questions covered three areas: physical information, and financial flow as measured by the perceived value of tourists. Destination loyalty questions focused on the intention for a repeat trip and the likelihood of word of mouth recommendations.
Travel information.
The purposes for visiting HCMC are listed in Table 5. The majority of visitors were on vacation (67%). All other categories represented less than 10 percent of the visitors each

Perceived Value of Logistics Management.
Tourists were also asked their perceived value of 28 financial, physical, and information flow components of logistics management in HCMC. Scores were provided on a scale of l to 10 with 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest. The scores for the financial flow management components are provided in Table The perceived value for all financial flow components was average with all items scoring 5 or 6. Ease of currency exchange (6.89) had the highest value and availability of credit cards (5.31) the lowest. Credit cards are not widely accepted in Vietnam and as a result, tourists must rely on cash. The sample variance and standard deviation for the financial flow management components was small indicating most visitors had similar perceptions.
