Conclusions
The purpose of this paper is no increase transparency about how methodological and ethical challenges presented and were addressed in a recent qualitative study of persons with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder {Galon S Graor, 2012}.
As methodological and ethical challenges were identified, researched and addressed during the engagement study, thee research team increased understanding about the social process of engagement in primary care treatment by persons with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder {Galon S Graor, 2012}.
Equally important, they gained insight about the rigor and cridibility of qualitative methods when studying this vulnerable poppulation.
This paper is the type of methodological paper the authors wished they had read before they started their engagement study.
It is also a methodological paper that may benifit orther researchers undertaking similar projects.
