1. A LA CARTE MENU
Literally means ‘according to the card.’ It offers a wide range of choices and each dish is individually priced and cooked to order.
2. TABLE D’HÔTE MENU
Literally means ‘table of the host.’ This style of menu offers a set menu for a set price with or without choices. The guest pays the price on the menu regardless of whether he/she consumes the whole menu.
3. CYCLIC MENU
As the term cyclic denotes, this kind of menu goes in a cycle e.g. weekly cycle, fortnightly cycle or monthly cycle. Usually it is based on a table d’hôte menu. This kind of menus are often used in hospital, airlines, cruise ships, resort, age-care home, correctional service (prisons) and other institutional catering establishment.
