Although PhoneCon may appear to be conceptually simple,
there are multiple research challenges that we have to address in its design. Specifically, there are two questions we have to answer: first, how do we convert the spoken sentences from the user into actionable commands? Second, how do we locate a node if the user only provides a vague description of its location? Specifically, PhoneCon relies on the collaboration between the smartphone and the sensor node to address these questions.
