In this sense, the lethal dose LD50 in rats for As(III) was fixed as 14 mg kg−1 as potassium arsenite as potassium
arsenite [12] and that of As(V) a 812 mg kg−1 as calcium arsenate [13], the LD50 for antimony trioxide
being 3250 mg kg−1 and for antimony pentoxide 4000 mg kg−1 [14].
