The blaze broke out at Numwattana (Worldwide) factory on Soi Suksawat 64 in tambon Bang Pueng of Phra Pradaeng district at about 11am on Saturday, said police.
Fire trucks and firemen rushed to the scene to put out the fire, which quickly spread to a warehouse storing offset printing machines and fuel boilers. Plastic raw materials kept at the warehouse fuelled the fire, which sent plumes of smoke billowing in the air, Thai media reported.
Sounds of sporadic explosions were heard. Chemical foam would be used to control the blaze. Three firemen were reportedly injured while trying to combat the flames. The firefighters managed to contain the fire at around 1pm.
