JOEL ACTOR TROY BAKER CLAIMS IGNORANCE ON THE LAST OF US 2The voice of Joel in The Last of Us has denied knowing anything about a sequel to the critically-acclaimed post-apocalyptic title.
Speaking during a panel at Indy PopCon, Troy Baker claimed he doesn't know if The Last of Us 2 will be a thing or not, seeming to contradict a claim made by Nolan North earlier today.
"I know nothing. I don't know if we're gonna do another one or not," he said. "If we do, then I trust Neil [Druckmann, creative director] and Bruce [Straley, game director] and everyone at Naughty Dog to tell a story that needs to be told.
"You know, spoiler, when you go from the prologue and then credits and then cut to 20 years later, you see a completely different guy," Baker continued when asked on a potential setting for a sequel.
Earlier today fellow TLOU voice actor Nolan North suggested a sequel was on the way, though Baker's comments don't necessarily disprove this. It could be Joel's story is simply done, and the next entry in the series will introduce new characters.
