Few studies used the kinetic action technique to evaluate the EO of eucalyptus. The results found in our study allow for an estimation of the time required for contact between the bacterial cells to result in cell death. This data is extremely valuable when applying technologies using essential oil as an additive or even as a disinfectant of inanimate surfaces.
The chemical composition of the essential oils can be affected by many factors, such as the location, crop, season, harvest time, storage conditions and extraction method
