To resolve the conflict between shortage of resources and
increasing population, this study recommends that land-use
intensity be used in selecting dominant sectors and the foundation
of a land-use standard institution. Because of their higher
land-use efficiency and greater economic benefits, the industries
for manufacturing of electrical machinery and equipment, transport
equipment, and food and beverages are classified as the three
dominant sectors. In contrast, the industries for manufacturing of
medicines and instruments and machinery are classified as abandonindustries, although they are evaluated as good dominant
sectors with regard to social and ecological influence. This study
also evaluated the quantity, spatial arrangement, and scheduling
of industrial land-use.
