The plaque of the People's Party is foremost, historical evidence of Thailand administrative system. It tells the story of the early morning of June 24th, 1932, when the party, headed by Phraya Phahol Pholphayuhasena led a gathering of armed, military units at the Royal Plaza. The assembled moved to arrest persons, such as members of the royal family and ministers, and seize strategic locations in Bangkok. The party staged this coup d’etat while King Prajadhipok was at Klai Kangwon Palace his summer retreat in Hua Hin.
