Manchester United transfer news: Cristiano Ronaldo talks Ramos future
Man Utd are yet to table a second bid for Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo has had his say on his Real Madrid teammate's future.
Ronaldo celebrates his Champions League semi-final goal with United target Ramos
Manchester United great Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he is in the dark over Sergio Ramos' Real Madrid future.
Ronaldo reportedly telephoned Ramos during his Miami holiday to persuade the United target to stay at the Bernabeu.
The disenchanted Ramos, however, is into the last two years of his contract and has told Real he only wants to join United after they failed to offer him an extension.
Both Ramos and Real club captain Iker Casillas could both leave the club this summer and, ahead of Real's return to training on Monday, Ronaldo had no clearer indication over Ramos' future.
When asked if Ramos would end up at United by SNTV, Ronaldo replied: “I don’t know.”
Ronaldo's own future at Real is uncertain after the Portuguese was apparently told he would play as the team's central striker, rather than in his preferred role on the left flank, under new manager Rafael Benitez.
