Midterm topics!!
Formal definitions (don’t learn, but recognise)
Learn and remember the DETERMINATE & INDETERMINATE FORMS
Practice LOTS OF LIMITS!!(Including infinite limits)
Differentiation – Chain / Product / Quotient rules (you should know these formulas / techniques)
Continuity / Discontinuity Classification (Jump, asymptotic, removable, practice the piecewise functions exercises)
proofs of limits
You should know basic stuff like derivatives of sin, cos, e^x, ln x, etc. Do not worry about learning derivatives of inverse trig though.
You should simplify as much as possible. Look at the practice problem solutions 7 to see the kind of simplification I expect. The general rule is to collect like powers together, so first expand then collect terms.

The exam has 12 questions which you have 3 hours to complete.
Each question has the number of marks it is worth after it.
Marks are given for working out as well as correct answers.
Remember mathematics is a language. It is often useful to write English sentences or notes to explain what you are doing to make your logic clear to the examiner.
