Tumour cell line GC1415 was recently established in our
laboratory from carcinomatous ascites of a patient with
advanced gastric (adenocarcinoma) cancer. These stud-ies were approved by the Jagiellonian University Medical
College Ethical Committee The cells
were cultured in DMEM with high glucose content supplemented
with 5  % foetal bovine serum at 37  °C, in 5  % CO2
atmosphere and regularly
tested for Mycoplasmasp. contamination by PCR-ELISA
kit (Roche, Mannheim, Germany) and for endotoxin con-tamination by the Limulus test according to the manufacturers’
instruction.
