Waagh!" Aress stumbled as Hatter playfully shoved him out of the way of a sword as he blocked another blade. He ran dizzily as Hatter spun him around to counter another blade and then slashed at the soldiers. "I can't stand...being so dizzy...!"
"What? Why not?" Hatter asked happily as he dispatched another man. Weiss screamed angrily as his men were quickly and easily disposed of, one after another. "Around and around we go!" Hatter yelled happily, spinning Aress around in a circle with him as he dispatched the last man. Weiss stood alone, watching angrily, unable to do anything. "You want him? Take him!" Hatter said happily, letting go of Aress, sending the teen running dizzily towards Weiss, who tensed at the sudden attack. The blonde stared in confusion as the dark blue haired teen stumbled off dizzily and smacked headfirst into a tree.
"What the-?!" Weiss turned towards the teen. "Don't toy with me, Alice!" He froze as a sword was pressed against his throat.
"You lose!" Hatter chirped happily.
"That was a dirty trick!" Weiss yelled angrily.
"Well...as the Alice of Hearts, you should have been more careful!" Hatter grinned and lowered his sword. Whipping the blood off of it, he headed towards the fallen Aress.
"Why are you helping the Alice of Spades?! He's the weakest of us all!" Weiss yelled angrily as Hatter slung the unconscious teen over his shoulder. "You should be helping the Hearts, the strongest!"
"No thanks," Hatter replied coolly as he started to leave. "Besides, don't you think the weakest Alice winning would be fun?" Weiss watched the black haired man laugh as he left.
"...Understanding him is impossible..." the blonde said, shaking his head.
Aress came to with a start, gasping as his steel gray eyes snapped open. He found himself bouncing on someone's shoulder, held in place by a hand on his backside. "Oh, good. You're awake."
"I was only unconscious because you ran me into a tree!" Aress protested angrily, struggling to get down.
"No...I pushed you towards Weiss. You ran into the tree," Hatter replied with a grin. Aress fell silent at that.
After a while, his curiosity overcame his stubbornness. "Who's Weiss?"
"Oh, Weiss? He's the Alice of Hearts. Absolutely no fun to work with," Hatter replied, grinning. "He's the highest Alice, you know."
"Highest? But in cards, it's always Spade, Heart, Clover and Diamond!" Aress replied, shocked. He even forgot to struggle.
"Well...this is Wonderland. Here, Alices go Heart, Clover, Diamond and Spade." Hatter stopped in his tracks. "...This is Wonderland. Why are we even walking?"
"What? What are you talking about?! Why aren't we walking?!" Aress tried to see Hatter's expression to see what he was doing. "Hatter?"
"Hold on tightly!" Hatter warned cheerily as he grabbed the rim of his top hat. He whirled around before Aress could reply.
"Wait, what-?!" They disappeared, leaving behind only one set of footprints that had suddenly stopped.
"Here's your dinner, King Charles. Just the way you like it." Charles was pleased. He finally had found the tastiest delicacy in Wonderland: eight chocolate strawberries, his favorite. Of course, it was rare for him now because his kingdom had no Alice. The other suit Kings were real jerks. But...he shook his head, messing up his dark green hair slightly, blinking his gold eyes. It was okay now. He had his chocolate-covered strawberries now...
"-aaaahh!" Charles looked up slightly from the plate of strawberries. A teen and Hatter appeared out of nowhere. His eyes widened and he dove off his throne for his strawberries.
But it was too late. Hatter and the teen landed in a heap on the servant and the tray of strawberries. "Nooo!"
"Ooh..." Hatter grimaced as he saw what he had done. "Um...sorry, Charles."
"Why?!" Charles asked, nearly in tears.
"Owowow..." Aress sat up, rubbing his head. He paused and then looked down, realizing something. "Hatter, we landed on someone!"
"I'm...fine..." the gentle voiced blonde young man gasped out.
"Ooh...sorry about that too, Edward," Hatter said, scooping Aress back up onto his feet even as he himself stood up. He offered the fallen young man a hand. When the blonde took his hand, he yanked him up and pulled him to his chest, looking down into the blue eyes. "Want me to kiss you and make it all better...?" he asked, tilting the blonde's head back and running gloved thumb across Edward's bottom lip.
"How would that work, Hatter? We're both guys!" Edward replied innocently, the implications completely missing him.
"How about I show you...in a night of unforgettable pleasure-?" Hatter was cut off as Charles shoved him away.
"Please don't pollute our innocent Jack," Charles said as he rescued the blonde from Hatter's grasp.
"...Is he like that with everyone?" Aress asked in disbelief.
"This?" Charles asked. "This is when he still has pretty good self-control." The king stopped. "Wait. Who are you?"
"Oh, him? He's the Alice of Spades! His name's..." Hatter paused
